iXsystems Inc.、FreeBSD Mall, Inc.を買収
ハードウェアソリューションベンダーのiXsystems Inc.は、FreeBSD Mall, Inc.を買収したそうだ。iXsystems Inc.はもともと、Berkeley Software Design, Inc.(BSDi)のハードウェア部門だったが、2001年にWind River Systems, Inc.がソフトウェア部門を買収され、社名が変更になった。翌2002年、Wind River Systems, Inc.からFreeBSDの資産がFreeBSD Mall, Inc.に売却(BSD/OSの資産・名称はWind Riverに留まる)。
また昨年には、iXsystems Inc.がPC-BSD Softwareを買収！。FreeBSDに力を入れていますが、iXsystemsの商号変更など今後どうなるのでしょうか。
